The blogosphere is in a tizzy over the early release of convicted killer Oscar Pistorius, the Paralympic gold medalist who admitted to killing his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, 29 in February 2013. Pistorius, who was sentenced to 5 years in prison on the charge and conviction of culpable homicide, stated that he shot her four times through a locked bathroom door because he believed she was an intruder. Neighbors testified that they could hear Steenkamp’s “blood curdling” screams on the night of her death.  Pistorius, who had been involved in prior domestic violence incidents, was taken into custody and charged with her death.
